Excellent reads on Leadership! Harper Bridging the Leadership Gap - Reflections of Professors Marilyn Taylor and Hugh MacLeod Integrative Leadership and some Leadership Paradoxes         FEATURE ARTICLE     Professional-izing Management Consultancy The RationalManagement consulting is a rapidly changing world where continuously new capabilities and disciplines, new services and new delivery models as well as stakeholders are being integrated. In the past decades the impact of the consulting industry has been remarkable in the actual governance of countries as well as in the economy and society. As government spending on consultants has risen remarkably over the last 10 years often in cooperation with financial institutions, consultancy projects have influenced political agendas and spending strategies as well as transformation of businesses. This influence can also be evidenced in the notable spread of management innovation in the economy that has been invented together with consultants across the globe.  Addressing Today's Leadership Gap Ladies & Gentlemen we are having difficulty achieving our targets! Today's most pressing organizational challenges lie mainly in the socio-strategic domain. We have shown to be quite good actually in the area of technical ingenuity, automation, etc; but very poor in the areas of social ingenuity - adaptability to changing conditions, and strategic insight. Amid this, there is a fascinating "condition" I am noticing evolving in a significant number of executive suites around the world - across business, government and the third sector - and it might well be called "Gap-itis". Gap-itis is not as contagious as the Avian Flu, but it just might be more debilitating, and affect more employees, suppliers, shareholders and communities!    Caught in the Action!               From the America's Hub in Toronto June 19, 2015.
